My name is Audra.

I’m a certified functional medicine practitioner, licensed acupuncturist, author, speaker, small-town Texas girl gone big-city-world-traveler, and constant seeker of truth and wisdom.

From a young age, I knew that I wanted to help people heal at the deepest levels.

I just didn’t know what that looked like or that my path would take quite so many twists and turns.

My interest in alternative medicine grew from my own struggle to find effective treatments for my allergies, sinus problems, hypothyroid symptoms and yes, even hormonal imbalances. Though I’d tried for years to heal through Western medicine, the results were nothing to write home about. It wasn’t until I discovered herbal medicine and traditional Chinese medicine that I started to see a real improvement in not only my immediate symptoms, but my overall feeling of wellbeing and empowerment. I’d finally found a healthcare approach that I could hang my hat on!

While alternative medicine gave me the relief I was seeking at the time, I knew that it wasn’t the whole picture — not any more than Western medicine was. Traditional Chinese medicine gives us many amazing tools to work with, but science has a place at that table, too. Genetics, nutrition, laboratory testing, botanical medicine, mindset and an integrative functional approach play important roles in preventing and treating many healthcare conditions — my practice is an east meets west, above, below and within experience that teaches you to tap into the wisdom of your own body.

I believe that true, lasting healing requires a functional, patient-centered approach that addresses the mind and body — physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual.
